Marina Traub
Marina is a captivating and charismatic yoga teacher, as well as a NCAA Champion Rowing Coach, who found yoga on her own personal search for healing. She’s been bringing people more in tune with their bodies for 20 years and is known for accessible and informative cueing, a genuine love of the body’s capabilities, and a compassionate and lighthearted approach to learning and personal growth.
While rowing at UVA, Marina started her own yoga practice in her parents' bedroom on a VHS tape in the 90s. She then began teaching yoga to her rowing teams, and now teaches public classes in addition to leading workshops and international retreats. Marina did her 200 hour teacher training with Heartwood Yoga in Bradenton, FL and her 300 hour with Dice Iida-Klein, Briohny Smith, and Claudine and Honza Lafond. She is an E-RYT 500 and Continuing Education Provider. Forever a student, she has enjoyed studying under Seane Corn, Noah Maze, and Judith Lasater, and she is trained in Prison Yoga, Veterans Yoga, and Y12SR Yoga for 12 Step Recovery.
Marina shares all that she's learned and examines what she doesn't yet understand. She teaches vigorous vinyasa, intelligent alignment, and delicious yin; all with authentic playfulness and soulful sincerity. Marina gravitates toward the ocean and crosses the street to pet dogs. She most enjoys helping others move into consciousness and gratitude for their lives using the practice of the eight limbs.
