Dina Abbondante

Dina Abbondante has studied and practiced bodywork and yoga for more than a decade. She blends her expertise in classical massage, acupressure, and Usui Reiki method with a reputation for teaching yoga classes that are intelligent, tranquil, and quietly powerful. Trained as a dancer and choreographer, Dina’s teaching draws on the rhythmic breath and flowing sequences of Ashtanga and vinyasa yoga. Clearly influenced by the intelligence and alignment of Iyengar yoga, Dina is known for her emphasis on adaptability and her knowledge of therapeutics.

She specializes in yoga for back-care and scoliosis, pre/postnatal yoga, and mat Pilates. During class, Dina merges anatomical and energetic alignment to encourage intelligent movement with mindful breathing and directed intention. Each class is like a tapestry of experience that combs the layers of body, energy, mind, and focus. Such teaching seamlessly connects the practice for newcomers and seasoned practitioners alike. Dina continues to practice and explore through the lenses of vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Iyengar yoga, as well as complimentary forms of bodywork. Over the years, she has been honored to study with Elise Browning Miller, Patricia Walden, Lee Albert, Tom Karis, the New England School of Acupuncture, Sudhir Jonathan Foust, and Megha Nancy Buttenheim.
